Help with Podcasting

Viewing the podcast online requires the Quicktime media player. It is free and can be downloaded here.

INTERNET EXPLORER USERS MAY RECEIVE A PROMPT - "CLICK TO RUN AN ACTIVE X CONTROL ON THIS WEB PAGE" - YOU WILL NEED TO ACTIVATE THE PODCAST VIDEO BY CLICKING O.K. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO INTERNET EXPLORER.

Our podcast is an RSS 2.0 compliant feed. The address of the actual file is:

http://www.mlpodcast.com/techvalley.xml

If you copy and paste this line in most any RSS 2.0 capable reader you will be able to subscribe to and view the videos.

For instance, in iTunes you would:
1. Go to the advanced tab
2. Select "Subscribe To Podcast"
3. Paste the link and submit.

The MLPodcast viewer link presents our feed in a format that will allow you to use a web browser to view videos, there is also a link to download the video file. Upon launching the video in the pop up window you may be presented with a message that says "Pop-Up Blocked. To see this pop-up or additional options click here" To view the videos click where it says "click here" and select "Always allow pop ups from this Site"

To add the videos to your iPod, open iTunes and in Windows select Edit, Then Preferences, Then iPod Preferences. Mac, select iTunes from the Finder Bar, Preferences and the iPod preferences. Just follow the easy instructions for which podcasts to sync with your iPod.

If you have a different handheld such as a PSP or video capable device that can play mpeg videos, download the files directly from the Yahoo page and follow the instructions for your device to add them.
